Pehrspace Tonight

Wanna preview New Mexico's The Late Severa Wires before they play at Night Hawks? Of course you do. If you're a fan of new/experimental rock you'd be a fool not to catch the show at Pehrspace tonight.
Basically the scene has shifted from Il Corral to this all ages art gallery/performance space in Echo Park. Pehrspace not only hosts a full lineup of fantastic bands every weekend but also started an Indie record label, Pehrlabel.

The music tonight starts at 9:00pm and is only $5.

On the list:
Anavan - This post-modern power trio has been getting a lot of press lately as a pack leader in the revived LA all ages scene. Their signature Il Corral shows will all now be at pehrspace in the next couple months and they continue to tour the country bringing artful distortion to the little girls and boys. They'll be playing South By Southwest this year too.
Clipd Beaks - These Oakland-ers have been around for a little while and still refuse to be classified. According to the Beaks' myspace page they sound like "Jam knee deep in a stork's intestinal acid". After tonight's thrash psychedelia we all might have obtuse phrases to describe them too.
The Late Severa Wires - Hailing from New Mexico and spreading the spirit of the High Mayhem music collective, these four lads always promise to blow the roof off wherever they land and couldn't be more humble doing it.
Anchors for Architects - A band of like-minded artists and activists make up this music collective. Bring a children's book to any of their concerts and they'll donate it to The Wonder of Reading which helps spread literacy in California's public schools. The band's a sort of lyrical congregation and initiate a community of experimental/indie rock all over this town. It sounds like they're still looking for a new percussionist should one feel the need to be initiated.

To get to perhspace:
map: 325 Glendale Blvd.
