Fish Circus @ Night Hawks

Fish Circus says: "There is only one Fish Circus but there is more than one way to fish circus."

If you've caught their act at the Silverlake Lounge or El Cid you know Fish Circus provides the most eclectic entertainment in town. Anais Thomassian (The Fishette) leads the boys in gorgeous gypsy-inspired costumes, quite a set of pipes, and often on accordion. Bassist Shahen Hagobian is one tall drink of water. Dan Graziani looks like a cast member of Carnivale and is known to do an impromptu jig while leading the group on fiddle. You're also likely to catch a group of gypsies on trombone, french horn, more accordions, more fiddles, in the group's every mutating repertoire. Night Hawks gives Fish Circus a chance to do what they do best, leave a weird cabaret flavor on the tongue of the crowd. Monday night, they'll hit the stage hard with a percussion-less set and a hardy slap. Don't miss it.

Fish Circus will also be performing the following weekend at The Gazillionaire Show in Las Vegas. Visit the New American Theatre Project for details. I hope the fishies fair well in the desert.

The Fishies say, "We will make you want to take your pants off." So I ask, "how many people will be taking their pants off on Monday"? And then I ask myself, "What about the people wearing skirts? Will they want to take them off too"?

I guess we'll just have to wait and see....

I feel it's best to be prepared in this day and age of troubled times...So wear cute drawers because Monday Night = sexxxy time!
